Financing disclosures

This site puts numbers in front of you, so it owes you the caveats in the same place rather than in a footnote nobody reads.

Leasing costs more in total

Over the full term you pay more than the cash price. What leasing changes is the timing of the outflow: the capital stays in the business through the months when a new club needs it most. Any page here that appears to promise otherwise is wrong and we want to hear about it.

We do not publish contract terms

Any amount due at the start, what happens at the end of the term, notice periods and fees are contractual. They vary by jurisdiction, credit profile and configuration, and they are set out in the agreement you sign. No page on this site states them, and you should not infer them from any figure shown here.

We also give no tax, accounting, financial or investment advice, and nothing on this site should be read as any. Whether a padel court is treated as equipment, as an improvement to your land, or as a combination of both has consequences we are not qualified to advise on — ask your own adviser.

What the simulator cannot know

Your basis, prior elections, passive activity status, at-risk limitations, state conformity to federal bonus depreciation, alternative minimum tax exposure, or whether the asset is placed in service before your year end. Any of these can change the answer materially.

Unsettled classifications

Whether a padel court is tangible personal property, a land improvement, or a combination of both is not settled by published guidance in either the United States or Canada. We model the split we believe is defensible — the court structure as equipment, the slab and site works as land improvements — and we show the split rather than hiding it. Your adviser may reach a different conclusion, and the quote is built so that they can.

Canadian provincial rates other than Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia are carried in our model as unverified and are labelled as such wherever they appear.

Credit

All financing is subject to credit approval. Rates, advance requirements, and terms depend on the credit profile of the lessee and on the jurisdiction. Published example terms are not an offer of credit.
